About Us

Ichtus seafront is a cosy place for weary travellers to stay and catch their breath. We strive to give each guest the best experience we can.

Ichtus Seafront B & B is situated in the heart of the Garden Route in South Africa. We are in a little picturesque village called Sedgefield, where we run a small intimate seafront guesthouse. We pride ourselves in our personal touch and attention to detail to make your stay worthy of your fondest memories.

Ichtus means ‘fish’ in ancient Greek. We are here to help you fish for joy, dreams and peace! We strive to live in harmony with the ocean and our pristine surroundings. We have created a space where our guests can enjoy the vast ocean views, go for long walks on the beach which is on our doorstep and gaze at our magnificent stars on deckchairs at night.

Each room has its own bathroom, two of which include a bathtub as well as a shower and two with only a shower.

We have two resident dogs named Sebastian and Cotton who love to mingle!

Ichtus has a small splashpool, big enough to cool off in, overlooking the ocean.

Free WiFi is available to all guests.

We provide full DSTV package and flatscreen TV’s in all the rooms.

Meet Vanessa

I have always loved this house and the village I call home. When the opportunity presented itself for me to convert a home with many lovely memories of beach holidays, I jumped at the chance. You see, for me it is more than a job, it’s a passion to make people feel at home. I also love to cook and make the breakfasts myself, mainly because I enjoy it so much.

I have two fur kids, named Sebastian and Cotton. Together we love to take long walks on the beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa. We also love to explore walking trails, watching the stars at night and all the beauty nature offers us right here on our doorstep. Come and visit me! I would love to meet you.
